Recognizing 安全 Culture in the Specialty Chemical Industry

In 2023, mg游戏app launched its 安全 Emphasis Initiative that delivered virtual programming and resources to support operations teams and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to safety in the specialty chemical industry.

As a continuation of mg游戏app’s 安全 Emphasis Initiative, we are proud to unveil our new 安全 Recognition Program. This program builds on the best practice sharing culture of mg游戏app members, and offers opportunities to showcase and highlight year-round safety efforts in four key areas:

Emergency Planning & 响应
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
Material Transfer

“Nothing unites the specialty & batch chemical sector more than its safety-first mindset. This is what binds us together and pushes our member companies forward with their employees, community stakeholders and customers,” said Jennifer Abril, 总统 & CEO at mg游戏app.

“We want to reflect that priority by recognizing the positive stewardship our members exhibit when it comes to continuously building and improving our industry’s safety culture.”

Requirements:

mg游戏app Member in good standing.
Active participation in ChemStewards or an equivalent EHS&年代的程序.
No fatality at the facility within the past three years.
No major regulatory violation at the facility including entering into a consent agreement and/or potential
violation that is in the discussion/negotiation phase.

Answers will be weighted based on Yes/No selection
Open-ended responses will be used to verify yes/no questions and detail best practices.
One (1) application per company facility can be submitted.

Recipients of the 2023 安全 Recognition program will be honored at the mg游戏app Summit Dinner on 11月7日th in New Orleans.

August 16, 2023	应用程序 window opens for mg游戏app Members. Apply online using the online application form. (1 application per company facility) The streamlined application consists of 41 Yes/No Questions, and 8 open ended questions. We estimate the application will take 60 minutes to complete. September 12	应用程序 window closes at 11:59pm ET
September 13-26	应用程序s reviewed.
10月2日	All applicants notified by mg游戏app. Recognized companies will be given the opportunity to share best practices during 安全 Roundtable at the mg游戏app Summit.
10月9日	Recipients announced via mg游戏app Press Release, and coordination with internal member communication teams.
11月6日	Attending recipients lead best practice conversations during the 安全 Roundtable.
11月7日	Recipients recognized at mg游戏app Industry Dinner at mg游戏app Summit.
峰会	Recipients will receive plaques and professional event photos.
